No Spedometer...HELP!!!!!

Well, the last little while I have been having some electrical problems such as no day time running lights and stuff and I finally have them all fixed exept now my speedo doesn't work

I have searched everywhere and tested everything that I can and I can't find power to anything other than the fuse panel "guages". There is no power at the conection on the T-case, no power at the vehical speed buffer and there is none up top at the cluster. I have the whole truck wripped apart as I speek. Does anyone know where the speedo gets power from????

Someone out there must know whats wrong....Ryan

Re: No Spedometer...HELP!!!!!

Thanks Shorts

Actually there are 2 codes comming up which I can't find in my manual. Code 35 and code 75. My maual (I forget which one it is) has pretty well every code exept those two.

It all started yesterday when I was fixing the DRL's under the dash. Not sure if I knocked a ground off somewhere or pulled out a wire.

Thanks...Ryan

Re: No Spedometer...HELP!!!!!

Ryan, i have the codes but they're listed as through '95 with 4L60E tranny...

anyhow, you might want to check it out as you might have a crossover year truck.

code 35: IAC
probable cause: IAC error
testing: using ohmmeter measure R between IAC terminals A and B....then measure R between C and D. verify that R is between 20-80 ohm.....if not, the IAC may be bad. now measure B and C...then A and D. the R needs to be infinite...if not, the IAC may be faulty.

code 75: System Voltage Low
probable cause: system voltage < 7.3 at low temperature or < 11.7 at high temperature for 4 seconds.
