Crane cam igniton

could someone give me a honest answer?
i have a crane compucam (270/276) duration a set of flowtech headers and an edlebrock performer intake. the gases exit through a stripped cat and 40 series flowmasters. i am looking for more torque, i know before it is said, should have got a smaller cam. i don't think the igniton will give me a low end hit. will it give me enough horsepower to tell a noticable differece over my other mods? will it help any with those mods?

Re: Crane cam igniton

oh i forgot to add i have a hypertec chip and is an ignition a good choice for my application. i am trying to make the engine look better too, also are they any other choices for an ignition system if an ignition is a good idea. also what is the expected time? the diffucutly is not a big idea just the time?

Re: Crane cam igniton

i dont have an answer for you, but more of a question to go along maybe someone else can answer. does anyone have experience with the MSD offroad black ignition box (or any of their other boxes)? i am trying to get a game plan together for when i do my rebuild in about a year so i can be on the lookout for good deals on the parts i want. i think i want one of these boxes but wanted to know if anyone has experience with em. one thing i do know bowtie - stay away from jacobs!

Re: Crane cam igniton

do a search for jacobs - lots of people have had trouble with them and i only know of one guy on this board (cant remember who) that hasnt had problems. almost everyone who owns one has it in a box in their garage! anyhow - i too would be curious about accel or crane stuff.
