Door handle

The door handle on the driver's side of my truck (outside) is getting loose and has a slopy feel when I open the door. I was thinking that I could replace the door handles with the kind that you'd find on a GM ryder truck. The doors are the same and the latching mechanism looks the same, but I wonder if the internals are the same. Incase you don't know what type of handles I'm talking about they are the same style as you would find on a jeep cherokee (Solid handle to pull on with a thumb button to unlatch the door). I think this would give a very custom look and I might like them better. So what do you guys think? would it work? would it look retarded? In the attachment you can't really see the handle, but that's the type of truck I'd be getting the handles from.
