Urgent Question

My tahoe's air conditioning compressor is on the way out, well more precisely the bearing in that clutch thing on the front of it. So my question is, if that bearing really die, will the pulley sytem stall, break, jam etc?
Also if this happens will it damage the engine?

I need to know if i should leave it and not drive it till i get the money to put a new one in.

Re: Urgent Question

If you need time to gather the funds to put a new compressor in, just bypass it for now.

Go to the autoparts store and get a new serp-belt for your truck, just tell them it doesn't have AC.

If shortcuts were easy, they would just be The Way
