Well, last night I had to show off to race a guy so put it in low range w/o the hubs locked for super low gears then nailed it and POP!. The drive line turned but the truck stayed still. Darn that 10 bolt! Well, I think I found a replacement set for $50 each front and back. Not sure on ratios and size but I'll find out tonight...... Darn that 10 bolt!!!!!
Hmmm......multiply the engine torque by 2.72 (low range ratio) but don't lock the front hubs in so the torque can be split 50/50 between the front and rear, then nail the gas on asphalt..............no offense but what did you expect to happen???
Hey, do it all the time. The old 305 doesn't have enough power to barely get it moving in teh first place to just lower toe Tcase gear ratio to help out the 3.08 gears out back. In low I can almost spin the tires barely... untill I finish the 383 in the shop. No biggy though, just run in front drive till tomarrow when I get a new axel.
