Will 36\'s fit under a 6inch lift with a little cut

i have a 2001 4x4. I know 35's will fit with no problem, but will 36's? I dont care if they rub the inside plastic piece a little, as I can just cut that. My friends 2wd with a 6 inch rubs a little with 33's.....i am fine with that. any ideas?

Find out what size the lift manufacturer says will fit(usually is 35x12.5). then if you want to go to 36" tires you can probably get slightly skinnier ones with very minor trimming and get away with it.

Yeah I think they will fit. If you are going to a local tire shop, see if the guy will let you try them on first. If you are mail ordering, as a precaution you might want to see about a 1" body lift (I'd hate to cut a truck that new). I'm still sticking to my origional answer though, I think it will fit with a small clip taken off of the air dam. There is a guy that works at Wal*Mart here that has this setup and it looks like he trimmed the airdam.
