cutting out

My question is if this ever happened to anyone else. Is there any way that the lines to the starter can get wet and mess up the running of the truck.I have an 89 gmc jimmy that i got a after market coil and i siliconed the distributer. I there any thing else that would make the engine cut out after going thruogh the water. I spayed the starter down with the hose and it stated to cut out when i put it in gear. if any ideas please give me your input thank you.

Re: cutting out

Do you have any holes in your exhaust near the block? Mine died anfter a big mud hole because of the cracked manifolds, and leak in front of the cat. Think this might have been what destroyed my engine

pics of the V30 which is still for sale or possible trade.
