Tahoe projects

Does anyone know of a website, etc. that may follow a project outfitting a Tahoe for 4 wheeling? This would be very helpful in getting ideas of what to do to mine (see my last post). Thanks.

Re: Tahoe projects

I think there are a couple of people on this board who are building Tahoes. I think tgt is one of them, look in the second page of threads and you'll see the post. You can always ask the people on this board what to do. There are a lot of very knowledgable and helpful people here.

Good luck to ya,
Jesse

Re: Tahoe projects

Go to the main page of this forum, http://www.Off-Road.com/Chevy and under the Projects column on the right, look for stuff for "Project Kickin' It". It's a 4 door 96 or 97 Tahoe that has so far gotten a 2-3" Rough Country lift, 33x125R15 BFG ATko tires on 15x8 Mickey Thompson rims, a Flowmaster exhaust system, a K&N intake, and ummmmmmm......some more stuff. Ment to be a daily driver/play toy truck. Articles are by Patie Waters I beleive.

Re: Tahoe projects

I've got a 98 Tahoe, just like the one the Pattie has been writing about. I have sent some emails back and forth about my vehicle and hers. I haven't lifted mine yet, but I've done the K&N Gen II, Flowmaster Exhaust, and I have a Jacobs Electronic Kit. I was thinking about putting the same Rough Country 2"-3" kit in it, but don't have the $$$ right now. She has done a few articles about her vehicle. I've been looking for a site dealing with Tahoes, and this is the best one I've found yet.

Like they said before, check out the "Readers Rides" and e-mail questions to the owners if you don't find what you 're looking for. You can see some of the trials and tribulations here: http://www.full-size.com/94gmc.html

And fill out your profile

Re: Tahoe projects

Hey Jim,

I noticed on your site that you did not like the Jacobs ignition. (plus you're on late). I was thinking about an ignition box, probably MSD. Is it just the Jacobs you don't like? Have you tried any others? Just looking for some input
