It rained like crazy in eastern PA yesterday and last night, and as usual I got some water (~1/2 cup) in the cab. It drips on the floormats and seems to be coming in through one of the grommets that "seal" a cable or something to the firewall. It must be coming in from somewhere underneath the cowl, but I haven't taken it apart yet.

Anyone else out there have similar problems and/or a fix? Also, the A/C is a little stinky when you first turn it on, but then goes away. Is there water laying in there somewhere?

1997 Z71 XCAB/SB 5.7L K&N 285 BFG AT

I had a water leak in my 70 Suburban but there was a small split where you couldn't see in the rubber that goes around the windshield, every time it rained it would drip and if I drove it it would creep up the sides of the windshield and give me a shower dripping from the top. Thing is that rubber was only 3 years old and I thought it would last a little longer then that. Turn on the hose and let it run down from the top of the cab to the hood and see if it leaks inside that's how I found the split. Hope this helps.
