Aynone have Dyno\'s for hypertech? silverado

any of you have a dyno result for a 2000+ 5.3 silverado?

is this hypertech worth it? Hypertech's dyno results claim 8-22hp
Does this unit really increase gas mileage? How is this possible if it only re-works the fuel curves at wide open throttle?

petersons did a real world test a month or 2 ago and i believe they got around 14-15 hp out of the hypertech on the dyno. whether its worth the $300 it your call as far as the mileage, i dunno - i know my hypertech chip didnt do squat

Re: Aynone have Dyno\'s for hypertech? silverado

actually, neither. i was pissed - no performance gain or MPG increase. actually, i took it out a coupla weeks ago cause i got sick of paying $1.71 for premium gas. i couldnt even tell that i put the stock chip back in. ive heard that from almost everyone that has a hypertech chip. the programmer is different though b/c you can manually change a lot of stuff. like i said, that article i read actually improved the HP on the new truck they tested it on, i was just telling you that about the MPG. i dunno if it increases them. if so, prob only 1 mpg at most
