Teflon Strips

Long time ago I found the name of a company that sold a roll of teflon 1/8" or so thick by 2"or so. i am going to be rebuilding my front spring packs and want to replace the existing squares with full length pieces. I know they sell it for boat trailer bunkers.Does anyone have a name or link ? Thanks.

Re: Teflon Strips

I dont have a name or where to get it, but I was wondering how much difrencs would the full length strips be compared to just the squares. it would probably be quiter, would it flex better because there would be less resistance on the leafs?

just wonderin

Re: Teflon Strips

Technically it would. Kinda like the guys who grease thier packs and wrap them up to keep the grease in.

Re: Teflon Strips

Yes it would flex and ride smoother. Also would add 1/2" or so. Would need to eliminate and redesign the pack clamps that keep the springs from moving lateral.
