I searched a little bit and found some info but I was hoping somebody could offer more specific info. I am looking at getting axles from a 72 K-20 (hope I don't offend anyone but for my Jeep) and I was wondering if anyone knew anything about these like gear ratios, lockers, axle width, lug pattern, what size wheel these take, types of brakes (Disc / Drum?). From what I gather the Dana 44 was the only option up front, in the back I am unsure of, I believe the axle in question does have the drop out third member so it is an eaton? What are the parts availability for these, I figure the Dana 44 is fairly easy but the rear I am a little concerned about. Basicly any info that anyone can offer is greatly appreciated.

Hey there.
The front axle will be the external hub D44.
And from the description of the rear axle it is an Eaton axle. Most of those from what I have heard came with a Detroit from the factory.
Getting parts for them is not only getting hard but real spendy.
I found one of these axles in a feild and was gonna get it but the parts availibility is just to hard.
Especialy if you break something on the trail, you won't be able to go to the nearest parts house and walk out with what ya need.
