clutch bypas

I have a 1979 Chevy with a SM465 and was wondering if there is a way to start the vehicle without having to depress the clutch every time?

Re: clutch bypas

You could bypass the clutch safety switch.

Look under the dash by the clutch and there should be a plastic unit that gives infinite resistance when its not extended and zero resistance when it is fully extended. Alll you should have to do is just jump the wires.

A previous owner of my truck did it already, I believe the wires going to the switch where pretty thick and blue/white stripped.
