Spare Tire Rack
Has anyone mounted an external spare tire rack on a newer Tahoe/Yukon (97+)? I'd like to get the spare out of the cargo area so I can get all my range stuff in the rear without folding the rear seat down. I appreciate any ideas.
Re: Spare Tire Rack
There are several commercial designs that attach to various things, from the bumper to a Class III hitch, and you could always have a big beefy rear bumper made with the tire rack built into it. Most of the commercial ones I've seen were rather small and not able to stand up to much bigger than a 285/75R16 or maybe a 33x12.5R15. I'm going to go the bumper route.
