Clutch question...

I picked up a new clutch set for my `84 Chevy last week and I'm not sure if it's the right one for my application.

I have an SM465 transmission that I converted from a manual linkage clutch to hydraulic. I think the guy at the parts place ordered me a clutch assy for the linkage clutch. I pointed this out and he said that the clutch disks (11") and pressure plates are interchangeable for linkage and hydraulic clutches. Fine - but this pressure plate has 3 beefy HEAVY DUTY spring tangs instead of a regular clutch diaphragm spring with a bunch of spring tangs that you normally see for a hydraulic clutch. Will this style pressure plate work with a hydraulic clutch or should I take the clutch kit back and get one with a standard diaphragm spring? I have known people at the parts places to be wrong before...

I DON'T want to get my truck all put together (ie. engine, trans & transfer case mated) and then find out that it's the wrong pressure plate for my setup! At that point there's only one way to swap out parts and it involves a) pulling the engine or b) pulling the transmission and transfer case, none of which is particularly easy.

Thanks for any help.
