Suburban body onto K30 frame?

Since I could probably make more use out of a Suburban than a pu, I was thinking of swapping a Suburban body onto my K30 chassis. Frame curves are alittle different, but it looks like if I used a 3" body lift it would be a very straight forward swap. Anyone have any experience/knowledge about such a swap. I really want to keep my 1 ton 4x4 drivetrain and thicker frame, so what do you guys have to say?

Thanks
Walter

Re: Suburban body onto K30 frame?

never done a suburban but have plenty on info on crew cabs on lwb frames the three inbody lift should give you enough to cut and trim to fit. the gas tanks will problem but if you want it i am sure you can do it.later mike

Re: Suburban body onto K30 frame?

be much easier to put your K30 running gear on a 3/4 ton sub. frame. I've got both trucks and I don't believe you could get everything to match up without a ton of work. You really don't need the k-30 frame since you won't be able to tow a goose neck trailer with a sub.
