aborted 1\" body lift plans for now.

While under my truck changing the rear axle seals (2nd time this year) I started to look at my body mounts.
I've been getting some bad banging coming from the passenger side of the cab when I go over rail road tracks or hit pot holes at any kind of speed since an accident last year. I'd checked all the body mount bolts previously, but this time I grabbed the mount pucks and sort of gave them a shake (not really sure why). I found that the rear mount spun! I tried to tighten the bolt down and saw something move at the body tub!
The body shop that did the work screwed it up. They didn't do a very good job on repairing the cab, and when they tried to reassemble it there was a gap about 1/8" or so between the puck and the body. They used electrical tape to fill in the gap! So all this time the noise I've been hearing was the body mount puck hitting the cab.
It's going to be a loooong day, I can feel it now.

Now I know what they did. The body puck was worn so some genious took two pieces of tire side wall and taped them together. He used that to make it fit.... Moron!
So now they're ordering a new puck and I'll proceed with the body lift plans.
