whats the deal with the radios

ok my radio in my 85 k5 isnt stock but when i hit a bump it cuts out.like if you had a bad cd player that skipped even though i have a tape player.i was thinkin just that is about shotand just needing a new one,but my buddys 84 burb with stock radio does the same thing and to top it off on ck5.com someone posts the same thing,well i thinks it was ck5.com.anyway whats the deal anyone else have this prob.i thought it was a bad ground to the radio but its not.thanks again.by the way check it out im finally a MEMBER HAHA

look and see if you have any wires in the way of the chassis of the radio. there could be a wire under there that has a bare spot and when you hit a bump it touches to the chassis of the tape player.

go to Edit Profile
click Basic Profile
scroll down to the "signature" input box
put this in it but change the X's to [ and the Z's to ] leave the /'s

i found the problem .it was a ground cable.it was bolted to the frame went to the body(right by the battery)then was supposed to be bolted to the battery,imagine that right after i installed a new battery the radio wouldnt work.haha,thanks for all the help
