What is bumpsteer?

Its when you hit a bump in the road and your wheel turns when you hit it and then t turns back when you come off of it. It happens to me when going over a bump or dip when I dont hit it straight on. I dont think it happens at lower speeds, but I dont know. I have a 2.5" lift and 33s, so its not as bad as some people have it. It gets worse with a higher lift and maybe bigger tires. Basically, its because the steering components are extended too much when you put on a lift, which is why you need to get a drop pitman arm, or draglink, or something else.
