rough country 2-3\"lift upper control arms

hi! i am new to the board and have a question. I purchased
a rough country 2-3" lift kit for my 98 z-71 s couple of months ago. I am having serious problems with the new upper control arms hitting the swaybar and also they are very cheaply made. My question is can i put the factory control arms back on without messing up anything? thanks.

I had the same problem with my SKyjacker 3" lift. I removed my sway bar. But I strongly dont advise that. It leads to more problems. Anyhow, you cant remove your A arms with out losing the lift since your sway bar attachment bolts. I assume thats where they are hitting. If you reinstall your original arms then they will just hit the upper a arms bump stops and your balljoints will last about 3 months as they will be at some crazy angles. Try cutting the bolt sleeves down a little as I plan on doing tomorrow after work. I will see how this works out and get back to you.

www.CaliforniaSuperTrucks.com sells a nice looking set of upper control arms that I think will fit what you are looking for. Good guys, will answer your questions honestly even if you may not be buying anything. You can't put the stock arms back on because the lift arms are longer and at different angles, so you will mess things up. Hope this helps.

My project came out alright. It took a few tries to get the right length of sleeve for the bolts. I came out with about 2". This allows my sway bars to miss the tie rods and the upper control arms.
