Old Post

Been looking for a post regarding a noise / whine someone was having when they came to a stop or turned. I can't find it in the search. I have a whine that happens when I come to a stop and sometimes when I turn. It doesn't happen all of the time but just enough to piss me off. It almost sounds like a pump that needs some fluid. I've checked all of the fluids and they are all good. There isn't any flux in oil pressure. I'm stumped! As always, any help will be appreciated.

Re: Old Post

Could it be a bad PS pump? Bad alternator bearings? I'd highly suggest a automotive stephiscope (sp?) for tracking down those strange funky sounds.

Yea, or even a piece of hose one end on ear and other on various parts of eng. while running Oh, broom handle works great too and often in garage.
