Home Built Rigs

Just wondering, if everyone could make a post about their rig. List stuff like mods, unique features, and even pictures would be great, would give everyone a chance to brag, and maybe give other people (like me) ideas and stuff they could do to their rigs. Just an idea!

Built from scratch and registered with the state of CA as a 1999 special construction vehicle (homemade).

Almost done. Yeah it's not a Chev body, but it's a Chevy motor and trans. I'm thinkin' about a '94 S-10 body next.

Re: Home Built Rigs

It rides great, better than my buddies newer stock rigs and certainly better than my old '91 Toy 4X. The pix was taken before I finished it, but yes I made a few passes around the neiborhood like that.
Here is a finished product pix.
The slicks are for the 1/4 mile, so far they have only been tested around home. Maybe going to the track soon. With the Mudders it is much quicker in 4WD because of traction.
99% of my off-roading is in the sand.

Re: Home Built Rigs

Thanks, but it's built more for function than show. The body only looks good in pix cuz the white paint hides flaws so well. The thing has been rolled already, and been in a major accident, well at least it was major for the other guy (totaled). All it did to me was scratch the bumper. The insurance people are still scratching their heads.
The int is simple with some extra guages, and JAZ seats. I took it to the track years ago and it did 12.6, I checked 0-60 a week ago, 3.90 sec (in 4WD) with the G-tech accelerometer. So it should be quicker in the 1/4 this time out, I hope. Plus those slicks should help.

Here's a pix of the back half
