I recently purchased a used holley model 6210. Does any one have any info on this model? I've heard only dual feed carbs are bouble pumpers, but mine is a single feed with two accelerator pumps.How can you tell between a mechanical and vaccum secondary carb? It is a 650 spreadbore.

Its been a few years since I ran Holleys, and my book is a bit dated. I don't show a listing for a 2160 model holley. I would pull the list # (or part #) from the air horn infront of the choke butterfly. This number will give you all the info you need about the carb. As memory serves, if the carb has two accellerator pumps ( 1 in the front bowl, and one in the rear) it is a "double pumper". If it is a "spread bore" design, then it is probably a "Q-Jet replacement" carb. Some of these were single feed double pumper carbs, and were of 650 and 800 CFM variety.

if it is a spred bore with two pumps then it is a 4165 series.. they have a 30cc primary pump and a 50 cc secondary pump..... they are rated at 650 cfm and are harder to tune than a quadrajet...
