Re: prerunner 4x4

Find a pic of one you like and take it to a weld shop and have them make it for ya.. No one is going to have an 'Off-the-shelf' one to fit your application..

Re: prerunner 4x4

here's a pic of one used as a bumper on a K5 with a 4" lift. This one doesn't have the skidplate option though.http://coloradok5.com/techpics/after.jpg

Re: prerunner 4x4

All im saying is its a light bar the way it attaches to the frame and OEM bumper and the thickness of the tube.. I have one.. Its for sale.. Because it dosn't do $hit except hold lights.. I have run into my wood garage door and it bends the tube.. Its Smittybuilt.. Not a bad manufacture but you can get something built to your specs a lot better and durrable like the pic above that could knock down a house and not get bent.. Tell you what.. Go throw your High Lift under that light bar and jack it up and see what happens.. Try it with the custome bumper thats welded to your frame.. We just have a different definiton of what a bumper is and is supposed to do..

Re: prerunner 4x4

I agree with the weazle. Even the bumper above isnt really a good bumper. My definition of a bumper is one that replaces the factory one with a massive 4"pipe running across directly connected to the frame. WIth a place to mount a winch. A solid front bumper is the only way to go.

Re: prerunner 4x4

Thats fine, I agree a bumper should be strong, but if all this guy wants is something that looks prerunnerish, than either will do.
