Am-meter

I put some guages in my truck while my computer was down the past two months. I've got the temp. and oil pressure guage in and the lights hooked up fine. Now comes the am-meter. The directions are not very clear as to how I should hook it up. They say all of the current that is used while the engine is on should go through the guage first. I've got 6 guage wire and ends and all the other odds and ends. I just need to know where to begin.

Re: Am-meter

A good place to hook up is the junction block on the firewall.

Re: Am-meter

Ammeters are a real PITA to wire in my experience. Personally I'd go swap it for a voltmeter. You can just wire that one to the junction block, the ammeter needs to hook up to some other things, and those other things vary depending on the vehicle and it's equipment.
