Anyone know of a manual people use for rebuilding differentials?

Re: Differential Manuals

Usually the factory ones are great. I have several, but they're for Scouts and Jeeps, but they go into DETAIL on every aspect of the vehicle, right down to the engine and tranny. The Scout ones I have are 2 manuals, about 3" thick each and the jeep ones are 3 separate manuals, about 1" thick each. You might be able to get them through the dealership, but do a search on them, I know there are a few places on the web that you can get them through. They usually go for about $100, but they're worth every penny. Also check Ebay.

Re: Differential Manuals

Go to the library, and copy it out of the Mitchel Manuals, then (hope you saved all your old mags) look through the articles on the diff you're working with. That's what I did, and it was alot of fun putting in gears, bearings and such.

Re: Differential Manuals

Yeah, it was coooel, and to have them running daily for two years now feels great . I don't know if I would want to do it every day though....
