What Years?

Can someone tell me or point me to a source for the following?

I need to know what years of Chevy/GMC two-wheel drive trucks had a coil sprung rear end on them. I am pretty sure it was 1967 to 1971, but would like to know the "real" dates.

This is all part of my pre-runner plans for a full-size truck.

Thanks in advance!

Re: What Years?

Around 60 to 72 (I had a 63 and I know it had coils)
LMC sells lowering kits for them, so you could look there and find out what years for sure.

Re: What Years?

On 2WD drive trucks, coils were a option (or maybe leafs were the option) from 1960 to 1972. I'm almost sure 1/2 and 3/4 tons could of had coils in these years. 4x4's always had leafs.

Re: What Years?

Thanks Scooby and Blue for your replies... I'm working on a concept for a pre-runner project. If I do this I'll have longer A-arms in the front, swing arms and Kuster-type shocks in the rear, and a BIG BLOCK!
