I replaced my speedometer cable this weekend and tried to connect the larger sized end the transfer case(203). I took the truck for a test run(78 chevy 3/4 4x4) and it didn't work. The speedometer cable just screwed on to some threads on the transfer case, there was no adapter there.
I have the original 203 and it has some sort of adapter attached to the case between where the cable goes and the case. When I try to remove this adapter a shaft and gear come out with it. The other one does not have this.
I could really use anybodys help with this. Like where to find the adapter or even find a web site on 203's.
