It\'s been a while, diff ?

Well, I'm back. Lightning ate my computer about a month & 1/2 back, and after much jerking around, Best Buy finally gave us a new one. While I was off-line my truck developed a terrible rumbling sound while decelerating. I sounded like the chattering that a lathe in a machine shop makes sometimes. It turned out to be the pinion. The nut was so loose, we took it off with our fingers. After we cleaned the bearing and all, we tightened it back up to a guess of what the rotating torque would be. It's running great now. Does any one know of any differential books out there. I'm going to up grade axles in a few months and they will need to be rebuilt. I know I can do it. I just need the books to give me some destructions, I mean directions.
