Unknown Sensor on \'89

Does anyone know what the sensor is on an '89 350 that is on the underside of the block on the passenger side. It is kind of a snap plug with a lead on the inside of the plug. My plug casing was slightly cracked and I knocked it off when chaning my starter. I don't think you can change a starter without hitting it. I used JB Weld to attempt to hold it in place, but would like to replace it. Thanks.
