I am posting this for a friend. He has a 1995 Z71 4X4 with the NP241C transfer case. According to Chevy, they have an upgrade of the "shift on the fly" actuator and harness. The directions/instructions that they supply are detailed in nature but without a wiring diagram and actual pics it is hard to tell exactly where to splice in the new wiring harness. Has anyone done this swap? If so, do you have simpler instructions to follow and/or pics of the install. The actuator itself is a simple swap in, he has completed that. But the wiring harness they provided is not a direct plug in and says that some splicing is required. Do any of you possibly have a wiring diagram for the 4x4 harness and if so can you email it to me so he can get this spliced in?

I have done this swap, but don't remember exactly how it went. For the splicing, I followed the wires from the t-case that ran to the original actuator. If I remeber right, these are the only wires that you need to contend with. The new wire splices into the wire that is hot when the shift lever is in 4wd.

If this doesn't make sense, respond and I will look under my truck anb trace wire colors, etc.

It is much simpler than you are making it out to be.
