Cruise Control?

IN the last few weeks I have had trouble with my cruise control. Around Easter, The cruise wouldn't pick backup after I braked. Then at the begining of July, I braked, and my cruise wouldn't turn off instead it tried to fit my brakes like it was a big hill. occasionally, it would start working correctly. yesterday, I had to stopturn off my truck, and unplug the cruise and plug it back in. That fixed it. A couple of months back, in May i had to replace the brake light switch. Could this be the problem? is it the cruise box? or could it even be the TPS? I would like to know, so I can get it fixed in the next two weeks. I have a long trip in two weeks, and I need to get it fixed. Thanks for your help.

Re: Cruise Control?

Have you put bigger tires on it? My 285's make it so mine works sometimes, and other times it won't. Fixing the speedo would fix that.

Re: Cruise Control?

the problem isn't the tires, they are the factory size for a 94 Z71 (265/75/R16) . The problem is i put my foot on the brake and my cruise just keep the power out of my motor, to fight the brakes.

Re: Cruise Control?

I don't know if they are trouble codes, my friend who owns a repair shop in Sioux Falls, SD thinks that it is the brake switch.
