Tranny Slip?

Hello all,
I have a Caprice police package that I believe has a 4L80E? in it. I think that's right.
Anyway here's my question. When it's "cold" (hot outside, but just started for the first time) and you drive it right away, it seems to slip a little (or something) until it gets into higher gears. After 2 minutes of driving, it's fine, and rips it up.
I changed the fluid/filter when I first got it. I looked then, but didn't see any adjustment possibility. It's about due for another change, and thought you guys might have some good advice about what to look for, or if there's something I can do to make sure it lives a little longer.

Thanks,
Mike

My TH350 does that if it is just a 1/2 quart low.

Re: Tranny Slip?

I notice that with my truck also from time to time, especially in the winter. I am not too worried about it. I had my transmission flushed about 30k ago and I am thinking about having it done again since the miles are getting up there on my truck. I just don't like shelling out the cash for the flush, it's not cheap. Plus I only let dealership's do it.

Re: Tranny Slip?

OK, so this isn't really something I should be concerned about? Thanks guys.
I'll just change the fluid/filter and go with it.
Thanks,
Mike
