Not that this will help, but this hay customer of ours that hauls about 10 tons of hay a day with a gooseneck trailer behind a Powerstroke F-550, just got the best looking flatbed I have ever seen. He said it was custom made by the guy he bought it from.
It is all aluminum diamond plate with an aluminum headache rack. There is a center hole for the gooseneck reciever, a fueltank right behind the cab, and side rails for tie-downs. Best of all, it only weighs 500lbs. All aluminum. I think the seller was hurting for money and sold it for $3000.
If I can get some plans, I'll be sure to pass them on.
