engine storage

Does anyone know how to properly store an engine after removing it from my blazer? Any help would be great. Thanks.

Re: engine storage

wrap it up in something that wont cause condinsation. keeping it dry is key. to me dust isnt realy a concern with a motor thats all bolted together.

Make sure your buddies don't spill their beer in it, no really cover it up with something like a grabage bag or jegs sells some nice engine bags.

Re: engine storage

not only that, but remove the spark plugs and squirt fogging oil in them. its about 5 bucks a can for it. this will keep the rings from seizing on the walls. also I'd change the oil before storing it. i dont have any good reason to do this, but i always do.
