OT - any others out there with a ticket for 12:01A

Just wondering how many other closet (or open) nerds there are on the BBS. I've got a reserved seat here at our little local theatre. I'm debating on going down to the Brunswick Bar at about 9:30 or so and waiting for the showhouse to open up a block away. I must say, George did good. I thought the movie was very well done.

I didn't get to go to the 12:01 showing but it looks like I'm going to a noon showing of it today. Better than Episode 1 and 2 I imagine?

Geeks.

I've never seen episode 1, 2, or 3. I'm waiting for a box collection of 1-6 to come out on dvd then I'll watch it in my living room where I don't have to deal with *******s on cell phones and kicking the back of my chair.

NERD ALERT! Of course we don't have tickets for midnight showing. Tim had duty so the timing didn't work Otherwise, we woulda been in line! We're going sometime this weekend. He deploys on Tuesday and this will be our last date for the next 6 mths.

Geeks, nerds, whatever it's true.

Hopefully you got to see it today Tim, it's awesome. I think it is by far the best of the latest 3, and probably better than a couple of the older ones. I think George did a superb job ting everything together. He still can't write a script to save his life though...

I think the PG13rating will help darken it up a bit and sway it aay from the kiddie-movie type feel. We watched cuts of the other movies the other night...jar jar was really, what's the word, sucked.

Fortunately JarJar only made a brief cameo appearance in this one, and didn't say anything. This one was definitely darker than the others and it definitely earned the rating it got IMO. The action was great compared to Episode 1 and 2, way more lightsaber battles, and all that fun stuff.

I think that one's going to be a keeper once it comes out on DVD.

Re: OT - any others out there with a ticket for 12

I actually did make the 12:01 showing, so I guess that makes me a nerd, or does the lifesize Darth Vader standup do it for me instead? I would have to agree that this movie was much darker and probably did earn a higher rating. I wish that there was going to be something like an Episode 3.5 or something along those lines, just to kinda fill in gaps between where Revenge of the Sith Leaves off and A New Hope begins, but maybe that is also just me.
