Lift kits for 2500HD

So what has been everyone's experience with lift kits for the 2500HD. Just picked up a 2002 2500HD with Duramax and the Allison tranny. Would like to go with a 6" kit and 35's?

Which kit do you like and why?

Which kit don't you like and why?

Ranch is great, well engineered parts.

Superlift now has thier FIT systems, dont knwo of anyone who has used one yet, but I am sure they are good qaulity.

Stay away from ProComp, cheap stuff that just doesnt compare in qaulity to the other two.

Re: Lift kits for 2500HD

I bought a new 2500HD in 2001.

Within a week I had it in the garage installing the Superlift 6" lift that they were selling at the time.

I have been using Superlift for many years and have always been happy with them - except this time.

I believe this lift is poorly designed where the control arm drop brackets bolt to the stock upper control arm mounts. There is not enough bracing in this area and the result is the bending of the stock upper control arm mounts. This happened to me under moderate wheeling.

I talked to their tech guys, sent them pictures of the bent stuff and they were no help at all - I used to love these guys!!!!

Just my $0.02

Re: Lift kits for 2500HD

Yea my bad, FIT systems are only for 1/2 ton trucks. Well if Superlift is out I say check Rancho or Skyjacker, but once again stay the hell away from ProCrap
