Front Diff Limited Slip

I just bought my buddies 89 K1500 Sport. After replacing a wheel bearing/hub assembly & the brakes (which still suck, but I guess this is common) I started looking at putting in a limited slip diff in the front. Anyone have any recomendations?

I think that there is an electronic slectable locker available but 1/2 ton front ends are weak and you are bound to break something. Go with a rear locker or after market limited slip in the back and buy a winch. Try , you can get good discounts if you go through the vendor site at

I don't even think they make an aftermarket diff for the 1/2 front end. Even if they did, the case would crack on the differential housing the first time it was tested.
