Got my 285\'s on the Tahoe! (PICS INSIDE)

Finally got around to cleaning the Tahoe up for some new pictures today! It was beautiful here, got up to like 47 out there, was a heat wave! Anyway, all the pictures are on my site below. Just browse to the pictures page, it's pretty self explanatory. Here is a few of them for the people with no time to peruse my site! I love this truck!

I swear I cannot wait to put some lift under this thing, it's so small compared to my old truck...

Looks good man, have you measured them with a tape yet?

Yeah, they are real close measuring about 32 3/4" tall. A big improvement over the 245's that came on her from the factory. The thing actually rides and handles better now too. No more of the feeling like I am tipping over in the corners now either. I can't wait to give it a chance at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes this year... Just need the weather to be a bit warmer... If you don't mind me asking what did that set of tires cost and where did you get them? I have the same year and 245's and was wondering about this tire size. As soon as you check your gas mileage will you post it?

Thanks,

Justin

Do they rub? Nope not at all so far, and I have certainly put them through the ropes.

I bought these tires at a place in Owosso, MI called Tire Factory. I picked them up for $610 installed with a lifetime warranty (supposed to cover any damage, regardless of how it happened). Gas mileage before pitman arm, idler arm and alignment is just over 15 mpg. I just had all the front end work done today, and I can already see another improvement. I have something wrong in my emissions system too that is posting a code on occasion... and I also know the truck is running rich just from the overbearing RAW fuel smell at the tailpipe. I will let ya know how it fares after my next fillup.
