Anyone owned a 88-98 regular cab k 1500? or 2500?

Well.. i don't know what it is but holy crap. I love this truck, it's something with the regular cab, locker rear end combo. The way the Z-71 package fits with weight and suspension? Who knows but wow it stock has been places that other lifted-locked rigs couldn't. Anyways maybe I'm a better driver then I thought? But anyone else owned one? Care to share stories.

Been up to my hood in mud and had no problems getting out of it, several times haha.

no, never.

but yes, they're good trucks. Decent torque from the engine, mixed with nice low ratios of thetranny a tcase, and hopfully the 373s over the 342s, but they work well non the less. We had WT 4x4s all the time that were treated like 4wheelers, and they worked well.

Yeah, they really don't get stuck too easy. Of course it's clean in this picture, but it has been through some nasty mud & never been stuck, although it has had its share of pulling people out.

i dunno, my 89 reg cab long bed has been stuck way more times than i could count. but usualy in the snow. all fours 35s with snow chains of a way of getn in you trouble and stucker than youd ever imagine with no snow chains.

one time i got stuck in the morning, spent a few hours tryn to get out, finaly made a few phone calls and had some not so capable rigs coming up to help.

12 hrs later i ended up getting myself unstuck and heading back down to get the two other trucks going that had come up to help.

should be some pics of my truck floatn around here somewwhere.

my truck with 342a and 35s was gutless. but now shel have some more toruge with another new motor pushn 4.10s yippy, cant hardly wait. though ill counter the gears with bigger meats.

have fun

Me personally, only an '86 & '83. A friend of my dad's has a '96 or so reg cab K2500 now. He practically stole it from an estate auction (got a great deal on it). He's a retired farmer so his pick-ups do get used. Previously he had a '93 or '94 K2500 reg cab, ex-sherrif truck. That 350TBI was HOT, like Caprice HOT. He got it with about 60k-70k and put almost another 100k on it.

Yeah, Ive got one. I have gotten it stuck more times than I can count. Some in sand, some in snow, some in mud, and twice I got high centered on some rocks. Lots of power may keep you fom getting stuck but it also breaks stuff and makes you look like a tool.

Drey was here the other day. I should send him this flex pic. I wonder if he has any new ones.
