Question about a dana 60

Okay considering how IFS systems seem to not like to stay together when they're lifted and roughed around I will be taking and slapping a solid conversion kit on my chev. After I do that I want to throw a dana 60 under it, I own a 1989 K 1500. I want to know if I can gear the 60 and the stock rear end so they'll work together until my rear end burns out and then I'll toss another 60 in it.

All they need is to be the same gear right? Or.. is that impossible? Anything else I should know before I do this?

Re: Question about a dana 60

Same size tires + same ratio gears = no problemo. Oh, and when your stock rear goes just swap a 14 bolt full floater in out of an '88-'98 K2500, bolts right up and is stronger than a D60.

Re: Question about a dana 60

So what don't I throw one of those in the front then? How much would you estimate those to be? I can get it at 30% off what most people get it.. sooo.. I really don't have a problem throwing in top end ****.
