not in a gun, but when I bought my then new red z71 4x4, fully loaded. the first digits of the vin # are "TOY"

the post originally was about "cool" serial #s on pistols. this guy chimed in with ^^^^^. That can't be true, can it? Looking at possible VIN # options, it isn't with an 88-98 truck, what about the 99+?

88-98 GM Trucks

1 = U.S. built

3 = Mexican built

G = General Motors
