oil filter madness

i have a an 88 k3500 with a 454. due to abusive driving i managed to blow my motor. i'm buying a rebuit and trying to upgrade some other things in the process. my problem is i want to put in a dual remote oil filter setup, but my motor has a 90 degree filter adaptor on it and its my understanding that the aftermarket kits come with their own adaptor that spins on the filter plate. so basically i'm stuck with an adaptor on an adaptor. does anyone make anything to eliminate this? not only do i not want to have TWO seals that will (with my luck) leak, but i hate the stock adaptor with a passion because it requires removal (which is usually an hour fight that i dont need) to take off my oil pan. any help would be great. i really dont want to put the stock setup back in.

Re: oil filter madness

Check with Summit racing (www.summitracing.com). They have a multitude of remote filter adapters, some of which don't spin on.
Your best bet would probably be to call or e-mail them with your specific problem. They have pretty good technical and customer assistance, at least from my experience
