Re: 4 Link Wheelin

Oh no way dude... 10k volts? Lines in your alley at 7,500volts. I'm pretty sure those are some killer voltage lines right there. Thats if Cali is the same as Texas.

Dude, go touch them and tell us for sure! I bet they're higher than 10KV, you can find that in the lines going down your street.

Re: 4 Link Wheelin

The tall and skinny one is probably 115kV and the short fat one is probably 500kV. They both have two 3-phase channels.

It's really hard to identify them if you don't know who the big manufacturer is in the area.

I'm also no power engineer.

Err, I meant 100kv, I wrote 100,000 volts but missed a zero on 100kv... Anyway, yeah it's something around there...

D00d! Haven't seen you around in a long time... Anyway, this is my other project, the willys is still in the shop being worked on. Building the engine for it right now so I can get the engine/tranny/tcases mocked into position to build around. Welcome back

EAOA MIKE H !?

Willy you just copy and paste all your braggart posts off CK5 dontcha?

JP has always been of the opinion beer is bad. I am of the opinion otherwise. He probably feels that way because he lives in drunkassricerville Bakyfield. And doesn't want to be carded 'till he's 48 and finally looks 20.

Re: 4 Link Wheelin

220,000 volts. Goes north to Visalia. 500,000 volts would be a taller tower with 2 to 3 condutors per phase. The short towers are a bit ancient and carry lower amperage than the other tower. The other tower is a dual circuit 220kv line.

Remember boys and girls, Mr. EMF says you dont have to touch the conductor to get shocked at 220kv. Just get close with a ground path and youre toast
