Is a bench seat in the front of my 2 door tahoe a possiblity?
Is there a 60/40 split that is made which will fit the stock mounts?
Also, a friend of mine out of town has a center console seat, what are those about. I don't want to pay for shipping and then find out it is a waste. Any help is much appreciated, cuz I really want to get rid of the captain chairs.

I just swapped in some power bucket seats from a 99 tahoe for my 96 GMC pickup 60/40 split bench seats. The passenger side seat, I had to swap the rails from the old seat and the driver's side I had to drill a hole for the front right bolt. Wiring was a breeze.

So with that in mind, You could get a split bench seat from any other vehicle and make it fit, if that's what you want. The center seat console is probably the best option for you. It will basically give you a 40/20/40 split bench seat up front. That is where I am heading except that the center jump seats I have found have all been around $200.00 Right now I have the center console from the tahoe and it'll work for a while.
