Borla headers

Anyone here have Borla headers on there 350 Vortec?? I'm thinking of getting some, I can get a brand new set for 325.00! They sell on borlas site for 570.00.... My only questions are, Do they LEAK... How bad?... How much power gain did you notice, how much noiser..... And did it get any better mpg... Also need to get some mufflers... Should I keep my stock tubes or get all new ones in a new size.. argh so many damn questions.

Re: Borla headers

Cody,
I have borla shorty headers on my tahoe. I like them alot but they leak on the passenger side... Its very annoying but I hear most aftermarket headers do leak. I am going to get custom collector pipes and high flow cats added soon and hopefully the custom pipes will secur the leaks.

Re: Borla headers

Sorry, i didnt answer the rest. I had just got back from my road trip to florida. Anyways, i definitely noticed more power after 2000 rpm and mpg went up in city and highway by about 1mpg. Yes, my part number was 17069. its a lot of money that can't be justified with a significant increase in mpg. Aftermarket headers are a pain, cause I have to keep retightening each bolt and needless to say the borla is supposed to never rust and mine are. If i were you, I would look into doug thorley headers which are long tubes and I hear they are a lot better.
