With all these recent questions Im bound to have some answers for someone in the future. Thanks so much to everyone for thier help. I don't think Ive been off this site in a week.

Question for the day: We had a good rain this evening so I went took the ole dirt dobber out to roll in the mud for a while and was reminded of something Ive been meaning to ask. I have trouble stopping in mud. If Im scootin' through hole pretty well and have to brake to avoid hitting an embankment like was the case tonight, it feels like my brakes lock up. They eventually catch, but for a few seconds it feels like there is a block under my brake pedal keeping me from being able to push it. ABS? If so can I fix it? Thanks again.

Re: ABS?

Yea mine does that to, it also feels like its pulsating and a grinding noise. But i think its normal, since the abs trys to keep the tire rolling but it cant because of little traction. Surley someone knows for sure why it does this but I think its somewhat normal.

Re: ABS?

Wet, or muddy wet brakes + big truck + inertia == MUCH more to stop.

The pulsating or grinding is normal. Sometimes (even though it's "ABS") the tires will lock up just a bit. Since you're in mud it's probably locking up and sliding around just a bit, but that's just fun, right?

Re: ABS?

i think when your in four wheel drive the abs doesnt work,
because braking goes through the driveline instead,
not sure about this though,
