w00t and a d\'oh!

Got my 35 spline stubs:

And my ARB:

And I also got the rest of the coils needed for my truck, but, I was sent the wrong ones... So, hopefully this weekend I can drive over to poly performance in San Luis and get back here with the correct coils...

I swear theres a higher power at force not wanting my truck to be ready for the hammers...

Re: w00t and a d\'oh!

How much did you pay for the 35 spline outers?

Where'd you get the ARB from?

Re: w00t and a d\'oh!

Stubs were I think $130 for both... There genuine spicers that have been modified to fit the ford 60's by being cut down .4" and a new snap ring groove machined in.

Got the ARB direct from ARB for $400

Holy shnikies that's cheap for 35 spline outers. How the heck do you find these deals? Those are the 4340 induction hardened ones right?

And how did you manage to get an ARB for $400? Did you trade them for a kidney or something? The cheapest I've ever seen an ARB is $600.

Re: w00t and a d\'oh!

Jason, just wondering, what happens when something custom like that breaks? Do you keep a spare custom part around to fix it fast or do you put the truck back in the bay and use another vehicle until you get around to fixing or replacing (no reference to F*rd intended )?

Re: w00t and a d\'oh!

The only time I win is when some [bleep] puts an axe through my tire. And it isn't even enough to pay for half a used tire.

/me whines about how the world is unfair.

Cool score though, Mr. Payne. So when are you going to let the genie out of the bottle and tell us how you're supplying air to it?

My friend with dual ARBed dana 60s on his furd smoked his York after a year of wheeling. He figures it didn't like running all the time.

Re: w00t and a d\'oh!

I'm going to be keeping my stock 30 spline stuff with me as spares. If I blow a 35 spline shaft, throw the 30 back in there and my 30 spline hubs on. No problemo, it will get me off the trail.

Well, I lost my hopes for an engine driven compressor. After running the 2nd power steering pump there is no room for the compressor. So I'm going to have to come up with an electric one I guess... For now I'll just run it off of my power tank.

You're going to have to ghetto it and run an electric one like me, eh?
