tachometer sticks
 
my tach sticks occassionally, usually at higher speeds. has anyone else had this problem?
99 k1500 5.7

Sticks? As in doesn't move when rpm changes?

Haven't heard of this happening....

I think there is a wire that runs to the distributer. It may be loose.

yes, as in doesn't move when the rpm's change

if the dist wire comes loose it will register zero rpm
