Fuel pump or ?

I have a 97 sub with a 5.7. Will not start. Pump stop making noise. Tested wires from fuel pump to relay and it looks good.
Replaced pump and it started right up. That lasted for about three starts and then it wont start again. Tested wires again and it all look good. Maybe bad pump? Replaced pump and same thing. Any ideas?

Re: Fuel pump or ?

ok... go to the truck. Put the key in the ignition and turn to on position. DONT start it. Leave it on for like 15 seconds. Turn the key back off then on again. Now try to start the truck. If it kinda fires, or starts, replace your fuel pressure regulator.

Re: Fuel pump or ?

are you getting fuel pressure to the schrader valve on the drivers side fuel rail? that might be a good place to check and make sure the pump is pumping. on most chevies you can hear the pump without doing this, so you can chekto see if its running. a running pump doesnt eman a pumping pump though,

have you checked into the ignition system (assuming the fuel system is ok?)
